When arriving at Luton airport it is easy to be bombarded and distracted by the whole host of companies offering you the ‘best deals’ on onward transportation, but there is one way you can ensure you get the best deal possible and that is by visiting the onward travel centre.
The onward travel centre is located on level one of the terminal building, just nearby the arrivals hall. Here you can speak to trained professionals and get genuine advice about your onward journey.
If you are planning on getting the train to or from the airport then you will need to catch a special shuttle bus that connects the main terminal to Luton airport parkway station. Luckily there are many services currently running every 10minutes from 5:00am in the morning to midnight, so you don’t have to worry about waiting around for too long.
If you have an all inclusive ticket into London then the shuttle bus service will be free of charge, if not you will be charged £1.50 which can be paid on the bus in person.
There are regular services to central London with two major train companies – East Midlands Trains and First capital connect. Trains are high speed and you could be in London within just 21 minutes of leaving Luton!
However these train journeys can be overpriced. To get a better deal book online in advance – either through the London Luton website or through National rail. Another more comfortable option is to book a rental car for the duration of your trip. This can actually work out cheaper then taking public transportation! Have a good trip.
