Luton airport parkway station is, comparatively speaking, a very new station. Opened in 1999, the station allows you to travel by train to many of the larger stations throughout England such as Nottingham and Derby and was one of the first to join the Thamesline when it opened in 2008. The station is regularly passed through by trains and is an incredibly useful commodity. Many of the trains passing through are high speed trains and, although some do not stop (namely those from Leeds), those that do provide a fantastic and quick service to other stations; allowing you to have more time at your destination.

The station also has a variety of facilities that are incredibly useful for a journey. The most important is the multi story car park. Many people who use the station do not come from an easily commutable distance by foot; a car is therefore essential to get to the station and then back from the station. Even if you are just dropping someone off, there is a 20 minute wait car park for you, which is free to use so that you don’t have to pay and can drop people off and stay to see them off. If you need to get some cash out then there are ATM machines for you to use so you don’t have to go without being able to buy things! With a coffee shop, you are able to have a quick snack before you set off on your journey.
